La Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), nata nel 1995 e composta da oltre 300 recensori tv, radio e online del nordamerica, ha annunciato ieri le nomination alla 20esima edizione dei Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, che quest’anno si terranno il 15 gennaio all’Hollywood Palladium e verrà trasmessa sul canale A&E. Durante la cerimonia di quest’anno verranno assegnati premi speciali a Kevin Costner, Ron Howard e Jessica Chastain.

I CCMA sono tra i pochi premi della critica considerati tra gli indicatori delle tendenze legate agli Oscar, anche se come sempre vi ricordiamo che i critici non hanno nulla a che fare con l’Academy.

Ben 13 le nomination per Birdman, uno dei grandi favoriti quest’anno, che fa incetta sia nelle categorie principali che in quelle tecniche (peraltro, sia miglior film che miglior commedia). Undici nomination per Grand Budapest Hotel, otto per Boyhood (inclusi miglior film e miglior regista), sette Interstellar, mentre ottengono sei nomination The Imitation Game e Gone Girl, cinque a Into the Woods, Guardiani della Galassia, Selma e La Teoria del Tutto. Solo due nomination per American Sniper, mentre Unbroken e Whiplash ne ottengono quattro.
