Si sono tenuti ieri tre importanti premi della critica statunitense, e in tutti e tre i casi il film che ha ottenuto il premio più importante è stato Spotlight di Tom McCarthy. Stiamo parlando dei premi della critica di Los Angeles (Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards), di New York (New York Film Critics Online Awards) e Boston (Boston Society of Film Critics Awards). Come sempre capita con questi premi, i riflessi sulla riuscita agli Oscar delle pellicole premiate non sono diretti: si tratta più che altro di quanto la visibilità che avranno i film in questo mese influirà sulle scelte dell’Academy. Rimane il fatto che Spotlight sembra diventato il frontrunner; da notare poi i riconoscimenti per Mad Max: Fury Road, che a Los Angeles ottiene il maggior numero di premi (regia, fotografia, scenografie). A New York Spotlight ottiene il premio come miglior film, regia, sceneggiatura e cast d’insieme.
