Ancora premi per la critica. Negli ultimi giorni si sono espresse due importanti associazioni di critici della costa ovest e della costa est.

Iniziamo dalla Los Angeles Film Critics Association, che ha selezionato Moonlight come miglior film dell’anno. Il film di Barry Jenkins sta facendo parlare sempre più di sè, e a Los Angeles si è guadagnato anche il premio per la miglior regia, la migliore interpretazione maschile (Mahershala Ali) e la migliore fotografia (James Laxton). Un anno fa Spotlight vinse i LAFCA, e pochi mesi più tardi ottenne l’Oscar come miglior film: lo stesso accadde con Mark Rylance e la sua interpretazione. Tra le sorprese, invece, emergono The Handmaiden di Park Chan-wook (due premi: miglior film straniero e migliori scenografie) e l’anime Your Name come miglior film d’animazione.

Delude invece La La Land, che emerge come runner-up in ben cinque categorie tra cui miglior film, regista, montaggio. Solo qualche giorno fa la pellicola aveva vinto i premi più importanti presso il New York Film Critics Circle.

Sembra invece che sulla East Coast La La Land sia molto più apprezzato. Il film di Damien Chazelle, che esce dopodomani nei cinema USA, ha vinto ben sette riconoscimenti ai premi della Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association tra cui miglior film e miglior regista.
