Sono state annunciate le nomination all’edizione 2022 dei premi BAFTA, i riconoscimenti assegnati dai 6700 membri della British Adacemy of Film and Television Arts e che vanno a riconoscere i meriti dell’industria cinematografica inglese (che come sempre include anche produzioni americane).
E, contrariamente alle aspettative di molti, a guidare le nomination non c’è l’ultima iterazione cinematografica della spia al segreto di sua Maestà, No time to die, bensì Dune, il kolossal fantascientifico diretto da Denis Villeneuve seguito da Il potere del cane di Jane Campion. Il lungometraggio del regista canadese si è aggiudicato ben 11 nomination mentre quello della regista neozelandese che vede nel cast Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst e Jesse Plemons si “ferma” a 8. Il canto del cigno di Daniel Craig nei panni di 007 si aggiudica cinque nomination.
