Sono state annunciate dal Comic-Con International le nomination di quest’anno per i Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, i riconoscimenti annuali che premiano le opere più creative nel settore.

Il concorso riguarda più di 170 titoli pubblicati da oltre cinquanta editori tra il 1° gennaio e il 31 dicembre 2018, che saranno votati da professionisti dell’industria per essere poi premiati il prossimo 19 luglio, durante una cerimonia al Comic-Con di San Diego.

La casa editrice Image Comics è la favorita di questa edizione, con ben diciannove candidature, oltre ad aver già ipotecato il premio per la miglior nuova serie a fumetti, visto che sono suoi tutti i sei titoli in gara. A seguire, DC Comics con diciassette nomination. Tra i candidati spicca Mister Miracle, in lizza in quattro diverse categorie, e il suo scrittore Tom King, in corsa per cinque.
