Anche se quest’anno il Comic-Con International non si terrà nella sua tradizionale versione fisica, sono state annunciate le nomination per l’edizione 2020 dei Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, i riconoscimenti annuali che premiano i migliori autori e opere del settore fumettistico.

La fiera del fumetto non si terrà a San Diego come al solito, ma si svolgerà online in modalità e date che non sono ancora state annunciate. Possiamo però osservare i titoli in gara per il prestigioso premio assegnato ai fumetti americani. La casa editrice favorita di questa edizione è Dark Horse, con ben dieci candidature, seguita a ruota da IDW e First Second con nove; l’artista più nominato è James Stokoe, in lizza per Miglior albo singolo, Miglior fumetto umoristico, Miglior autore completo, Miglior libro sul fumetto e Miglior design. Il fumetto più ricorrente nelle diverse categorie è Laura Dean continua a lasciarmi, pubblicato in Italia la scorsa settimana da BAO Publishing.
