L’associazione della stampa di spettacolo estera a Hollywood (HFPA), come sempre, ha deciso di riservare le sorprese più grosse assegnando i premi alla sezione TV. In particolare, ieri sera Transparent è diventata la prima serie tv a tematica Transgender a ottenere dei premi: miglior serie (commedia) e miglior attore protagonista di una serie (commedia). È anche la prima serie prodotta da Amazon a vincere dei Golden Globes.
Sul fronte televisione drammatica è The Affair a ottenere il premio così come Ruth Wilson è stata premiata come migliore attrice in una serie drammatica. Riconoscimenti anche per Kevin Spacey (House of Cards, miglior attore in una serie drammatica) e il network The CW (Gina Rodriguez per Jane the Virgin).
Come miniserie ha vinto Fargo, che ha ottenuto anche il premio per la migliore interpretazione maschile in una miniserie (Billy Bob Thornton).
