Il quarto capitolo del franchise di Transformers sarà disponibile in home video dal 30 settembre negli Stati Uniti, con una release anticipata di una settimana per quel che riguarda il Video on Demand.

Le combo pack disponibili saranno due: una da tre dischi per la versione 2D e una da quattro dischi per quella stereoscopica. In entrambi i casi si parla di ben 3 ore abbondanti di contenuti extra.

The People’s Republic- China plays an extremely prominent role in the film both on-screen and behind-the-scenes; in fact, four Chinese actors were chosen from thousands of applicants on a reality TV show to appear in the movie. In addition, the production traveled to Hong Kong, the beautiful valley of Wulong Karst National Park in Chongqing and the Great Wall in Beijing to capture breathtaking footage.

Ecco la sinossi del film:

Transformers 4: l’Era dell’Estinzione inizierà appena dopo la fine di Transformers 3, dove una grande battaglia aveva lasciato una città a pezzi pur avendo salvato la Terra. L’umanità si è ricomposta, Autobot e Decepticon sono quasi spariti dal pianeta. Un gruppo di potenti e ingegnosi uomini d’affari e scienziati tenta di imparare dalle passate incursioni dei robot spingendosi oltre i limiti controllabili della tecnologia – tutto questo mentre una antica e potente minaccia Transformer prende di mira la Terra. L’epica avventura e battaglia tra bene e male, libertà e schiavitù rincomincia.
