Scritto da Stephen Chbosky ed Evan Spiliotopoulos, La Bella e la Bestia è diretto da Bill Condon. Nel cast oltre a Emma Watson anche Ian McKellen (Tockins), Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Dan Stevens (Bestia), Luke Evans (Gaston), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Kevin Kline (il padre di Belle, Maurice), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Spolverina), Stanley Tucci.
A comporre le musiche del film Alan Menken e Tim Rice, autori della colonna sonora del classico Disney originale, che riproporranno le canzoni originali assieme ad alcune nuove tracce. Non tornerà invece l’autore dei testi Howard Ashman, mancato purtroppo nel 1991.Il film uscirà negli Stati Uniti il 17 marzo 2017, e sarà in 3D.
