Le riprese di House of Gucci, prodotto dalla MGM, si sono tenute a Roma oltre che in Valle D'Aosta, ora sono in corso a Milano, poi toccheranno Firenze e il Lago di Com0.

Nel cast anche Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino, Adam Driver, Jack Huston e Reeve Carney.

Il regista lavorerà su uno script di Roberto Bentivegna basato sul libro di Sara Gay Forden intitolato The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. Scott produrrà il film insieme alla moglie Giannina Scott con la loro Scott Free.

Il 31 gennaio 1997 Patrizia Reggiani veniva arrestata per l’omicidio dell’ex marito, e nel 1998 veniva condannata come mandante. Il processo divenne un caso mediatico, e la Reggiani venne soprannominata “Vedova Nera”. Nel 2000 il tribunale di Milano ridusse la sentenza iniziale da 29 a 26 anni. Quello stesso anno, la donna tentò il suicidio in carcere ma venne salvata. È poi uscita di prigione nel 2017 per buona condotta. La data d’uscita del film su Gucci è fissata al 24 novembre 2021.
