Il Gigante di Ferro, film animato diretto da Brad Bird, approdava nelle sale americane nel 1999. A oltre 20 anni dalla sua uscita il lungometraggio continua a far parlare le persone della rete. Ad esempio di recente su Twitter si è fatta strada una sorta di challenge che chiedeva agli utenti di elencare i film che più hanno influenzato la loro infanzia, e in molti hanno citato (tra gli innumerevoli titoli) anche Il Gigante di Ferro, facendolo comparire in tendenza sul social e "proclamandolo" uno dei film più amati dagli utenti, o almeno uno dei film che hanno più colpito la loro crescita.
