Sono state annunciate le nomination ai premi della Art Directors Guild, il sindacato degli scenografi, che hanno selezionato i film più meritevoli dell’anno in tre categorie: film ambientati nel passato, film fantasy e film ambientati in epoca contemporanea.FILM D’EPOCA
La divisione in categorie fa sì che le nomination, come sempre, non possano essere un chiaro indicatore per gli Oscar, mentre raramente un premiato poi non ottiene l’Oscar, trattandosi di una guild composta da membri dell’Academy.
Tra i nominati di quest’anno anche l’italiano Dante Ferretti per le scenografie di Cenerentola, per lui è molto probabile anche la nomination all’Oscar. Stupisce l’assenza invece di film d’epoca come Carol o Brooklyn.
La 20esima cerimonia degli Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards si terrà il 31 gennaio al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles.
