Poco dopo le nomination ai Producers Guild Awards, ecco arrivare quelle ai Writer's Guild of America Awards, i premi dell'associazione degli sceneggiatori.

In questo caso, ci sono più sorprese, anche grazie alla ineleggibilità di film come Il Discorso del Re, Another Year, Winter's Bone, Blue Valentine e Toy Story 3: nella categoria delle sceneggiature originali, inaspettata la nomina di Please Give, così come quella di I Love You Phillip Morris (da noi intitolato "Colpo di Fulmine – il Mago della Truffa") in quella delle sceneggiature adattate. Li rivedremo agli Oscar?

I premi verranno assegnati il 5 febbraio 2011.

Le nomination agli Oscar 2011 si terranno martedì 25 gennaio 2011, i premi verranno assegnati domenica 27 febbraio con una cerimonia condotta da James Franco e Anne Hathaway.
