Sono stati annunciati i vincitori dei Costume Designers Guild Awards, i premi del sindacato dei costumisti di Hollywood. Tra i premiati anche 12 Years a Slave, che vince il primo premio Guild dopo il PGA condiviso qualche settimana fa, battendo peraltro i favoriti come American Hustle e Il Grande Gatsby (nella categoria di migliori costumi in un film d'epoca). Nuovo riconoscimento per Hunger Games: la Ragazza di Fuoco, che vince nella categoria dei film fantasy.

Annunciati anche i premi della Cinema Audio Society, riconoscimenti per il missaggio del suono. A Gravity va il premio per il miglior mixing in un film live action, che va ad aggiungersi ai premi ottenuti ai PGA, DGA, ASC, ADG, MPSE e VES. L'impressione è quindi che il film si prepari a sbancare gli Oscar sia nelle categorie tecniche che in quelle principali.
