Dopo un periodo nel quale è dovuto rimanere nella scia di PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS XL è tornato in vetta alle classifiche giapponesi, per quanto riguarda l'hardware, nella settimana dal 21 al 27 aprile. Ad ottenere la prima posizione nel software è stato Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, al debutto, insieme a Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, appena dietro.
