Classifiche giapponesi: circa 250.000 copie al debutto giapponese per la versione Wii U di Super Smash Bros.

Che sia Super Smash Bros. il gioco in grado di tenere su alti livelli le vendite giapponesi di Wii U, che come tutte le altre home console mai come in questo periodo soffre nel mercato nipponico? In due giorni, essendo il gioco uscito il 6 dicembre e coprendo questi dati fino al 7, il picchiaduro ha fatto registrare circa 230.000 unità vendute, facendo arrivare le vendite della piattaforma Nintendo a circa 25.000. In crescita anche tutte le versioni di Nintendo 3DS, che beneficia delle uscite di alcuni titoli esclusivi per il mercato nipponico, come Derby Stallion Gold.
