TwilightEra inevitabile, anche perché le nomination agli MTV Movie Awards di quest'anno si basano principalmente sul voto online: Twilight ha ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination all'edizione 2009 del premio cinematografico di MTV, e si piazza come favorito per la serata che si terrà il 31 maggio.

Il film tratto dal romanzo di Stephenie Meyer è stato nominato a sette premi, tra cui miglior film, miglior bacio e miglior performance maschile. Sei nomination per The Millionaire, premio Oscar 2009, cinque per High School Musical 3 e stranamente solo quattro per Il Cavaliere Oscuro.

I fan avranno la possibilità di votare il loro film preferito tra i nominati da oggi al 27 maggio su MovieAwards.MTV.com: grazie ai loro voti verranno scelti i vincitori. La categoria Miglior Film, tuttavia, rimarrà aperta per tutta la durata della serata finale.
