Independent Spirit Awards 2015: Carol, Beasts of No Nation dominano le nomination

Sono state annunciate oggi le nomination alla 31esima edizione dei Film Independent Spirit Awards, i premi del cinema indipendente che lanciano la Awards Season pur avendo poco a che fare con Hollywood essendo dedicati proprio al cinema indipendente americano. Quest'anno, rispetto all'anno scorso, l'impressione è che vi possa essere una distinzione un po' più netta: ricordiamo che la trentesima edizione è stata vinta da Birdman, con Inarritu che ritirava il premio 24 ore prima di prendere l'Oscar.

A guidare le nomination quest'anno Carol di Todd Haynes, che ottiene sei nomination, seguito da Beasts of No Nation di Cary Fukunaga. Spotlight ne ottiene quattro: la pellicola riceverà anche il premio Robert Altman per il cast d'insieme. Tra gli altri titoli nominati come miglior film Anomalisa di Charlie Kaufman e Tangerine di Sean Baker (entrambi hanno ottenuto tre nomination).
