The Sandman: ecco il primo teaser della serie di Neil Gaiman!

"Il Signore dei sogni è stato invocato e catturato da comuni mortali. Una volta libero, l'eterno dominatore del mondo onirico si accorgerà che i suoi problemi sono appena cominciati": così Netflix introduce il primo teaser trailer di The Sandman lanciato da Neil Gaiman in persona e Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Morte) in occasione del Tudum, l'evento su YouTube per i fan (qui tutte le notizie).

Nel video diamo un primo sguardo all'attesissima serie, che Gaiman promette sarà un adattamento fedelissimo della sua opera. Alla produzione, ricordiamo, vi sarà David S. Goyer che recentemente si è occupato anche di Fondazione.

Sandman racconta la storia con al centro Morfeo, il re dei sogni che sarà interpretato da Tom Sturridge, che cerca di rimediare agli errori cosmici – e umani – che ha compiuto durante la sua esistenza. Nel cast della serie Sandman ci sono Gwendoline Christie (Lucifero), Vivienne Acheampong (Lucienne), Boyd Holbrook (Corinzio), Charles Dance (Roderick Burgess), Asim Chaudry (Abele), Sanjeev Bhaskar (Caino), Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), David Thewlis (John Dee), Patton Oswalt (Matthew il corvo), Stephen Fry (Gilbert), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Morte), Mason Alexander Park (Desiderio), Donna Preston (Disperazione), Niamh Walsh (giovane Ethel Cripps), Joely Richardson (Ethel Cripps), Kyo Ra (Rose Walker), Razane Jammal (Lyta Hall), Sandra James Young (Unity Kincaid). Gaiman ha co-sceneggiato la serie con Goyer e Heinberg, tutti coinvolti anche come produttori esecutivi. Netflix ha ordinato una prima stagione composta da dieci puntate.
