His Dark Materials 3, tutte le anticipazioni sull'ultima stagione

La seconda stagione di His Dark Materials - Queste oscure materie, è terminata negli Stati Uniti, mentre da noi è appena iniziata su Sky e NOW TV. L'autore delle sceneggiature Jack Thorne ha risposto direttamente sulla pagina Twitter della serie BBC e HBO alle domande poste da alcuni utenti. Ed è stata l'occasione per parlare inevitabilmente del futuro di His Dark Materials, e di quella stagione 3 conclusiva che però ancora non è stata ordinata ufficialmente.

Thorne ha dichiarato che al momento sono state sottoposte le sceneggiature della stagione finale. Otto in tutto per otto episodi, sei già scritte e due pianificate.

Si è parlato anche dell'apparizione di due angeli, Balthamos e Baruch, che non hanno trovato spazio nella seconda stagione, ma che sicuramente arriveranno nella terza. Thorne ha raccontato di aver scritto una scena che però non è stato possibile inserire nelle meccaniche della stagione. Lo sceneggiatore ha affermato di amare tutti questi nuovi personaggi e di averli trovati magnifici.

Thorne avrebbe voluto esplorare meglio Asriel e la signora Coulter. Aveva pianificato un intero episodio insieme a Pullman in cui parlare di Asriel, ma il COVID non lo ha reso possibile. Nella stagione 3 di His Dark Materials si dovrebbe parlare di più della vulnerabilità di entrambi.

Well, obviously, we wanted a lot more of him in series 2! We wrote an entire episode (with Philip's help) telling the story of his first movements through the worlds. But Covid squashed us flat. HIS DARK MATERIALS – LA TRAMA DELLA SECONDA STAGIONE

La seconda stagione inizia dopo che Lord Asriel ha aperto un ponte verso un nuovo monte e, sconvolta dalla morte del suo migliore amico, Lyra ha deciso di seguire Asriel nell’ignoto. In una strana e misteriosa città abbandonata, incontra Will, un ragazzo del nostro mondo che sta scappando da un passato complicato. Lyra e Will impareranno che i loro destini sono collegati alla necessità di far riunire Will a suo padre, ma si renderanno conto che il loro sentiero sarà costantemente accidentato mentre la guerra inizia a crescere intorno a loro. Intanto, la Signora Coulter cerca Lyra, determinata a portarla a casa a tutti i costi.

Composta da sette puntate, anche la seconda stagione di His Dark Materials è supervisionata da Jack Thorne.

Nel cast della seconda stagione tornano Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Amir Wilson, Ariyon Bakare, Andrew Scott, Will Keen, Ruta Gedmintas e Lin-Manuel Miranda, a loro si uniscono Terence Stamp, Jade Anouka e Simone Kirby.
