Superman: scelto lo sceneggiatore del nuovo film prodotto da J.J. Abrams, sarà un reboot?

Ta-Nehisi Coates è stato incaricato dalla Warner Bros. di scrivere il nuovo film di Superman che sarà prodotto da J.J. Abrams.

La notizia è arrivata in esclusiva da Shadow and Act ed è stata poi confermata dalle principali testate di informazione cinematografica.

"Essere invitato nel DC Extended Universe dalla Warner Bros., dalla DC Films e dalla Bad Robot è un onore" ha commentato Coates. "Non vedo l'ora di dare un contribuito significativo all'eredità dell'eroe più leggendario in America".

"C'è una storia nuova, potente e commovente su Superman che non è stata ancora raccontata. Non potremmo essere più emozionati di lavorare con il geniale signor Coates per contribuire a portare la storia sul grande schermo e siamo più che grati nei confronti della Warner Bros. per questa occasione" ha commentato J.J. Abrams.

Il progetto è ancora in fase iniziale: quel che è certo è che alla produzione di sarà J.J. Abrams con la Bad Robot assieme ad Hannah Minghella.

Al momento non è ancora stato scelto un regista. Quanto al volto dell'Uomo d'Acciaio, la fonte originale sostiene che "la ricerca di un attore che interpreti Kal-El / Superman non è ancora cominciata". Il progetto è stato inoltre definito un "reboot", perciò è possibile che la Warner Bros. abbia deciso di prendere una nuova strada con il supereroe alla stregua di quanto fatto con Batman.

Borys Kit dell'Hollywood Reporter suggerisce che lo studio abbia provato per molto tempo a trovare la storia giusta per il debutto di un Superman nero. Tempo fa, tra l'altro, si era fatto il nome di Michael B. Jordan, ma staremo a vedere.

Ta-Nehisi Coates è un autore e giornalista americano. Ha scritto per l'Atlantic, ma anche per il TIME, il New York Times e il Washington Post. Ha scritto una serie a fumetti su Black Panther e una su Captain America per la Marvel Comics.
