Il fatto che si sia arrivati a unidici nomination complica ancora di più le cose in una stagione degli Oscar davvero imprevedibile – non sarà semplice fare delle ipotesi su chi vincerà, né sull’impatto che la cosa potrà avere sugli Oscar. Solitamente il vincitore del PGA ottiene anche l’Oscar come miglior film, ma non è una costante, e quest’anno più del solito se non vi sarà un film che si aggiudicherà il SAG come cast d’insieme, il PGA e il DGA, allora gli Oscar saranno davvero frammentati.
La 29esima edizione dei PGA Awards si terrà il 20 gennaio al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles. Durante la serata verranno assegnati anche premi a Ava DuVernay (Visionary Award), Charles Roven (David O. Selznick Award) e Get Out (Stanley Kramer Award).
